Nicolette's Notebook

How creativity seems to colour every day of my life

In the Garden of... Kent

9 August 2010

I have just returned from over 3 weeks of holiday visiting my mum in Kent...
The weather was amazing... warm... balmy...

Paul, Steffi and my mum have the most amazing garden...  It is a large garden (nearly an acre) with old oak trees, flower beds, fruit trees, herbs, roses, vegetable beds...

The scent from honeysuckle wafted towards me everytime I walked up to let the hens out or put them to bed at night...

Herbs like fennel are combined with the beauty of the annual corn flowers...

The fennel was always alive with the sound of buzzing...

They have a completely organic garden and the love in the mist is left to self seed...  I love he shape of the seed pods...  truly stunning...

The lane through the garden to the horses paddock at the top of the garden...
