How creativity seems to colour every day of my life

Hungry little birds...

18 December 2010

The little birds were waiting on branches in the shrubs near the bird table and feeding area...

(Sparrow, chaffinch and robin)

All hungry and cold...

(Chaffinch in foreground and Redpoll behind)

We cater to a wide range of bird tastes and eating habits...

We have a flock of little redpolls who visit the niger seed feeder on and off all day...

Lots of coming and going and waiting patiently...

Some of this year's babies still expect to be fed by mum...

Peace at last to enjoy my food...

I so enjoyed the Hungry little birds...Your pictures are a reminder of my Bird feeder in the back..which i fill early every morning...and then sit back and watch...Thank you for sharing your adorable Bird Pictures...Kindly Nikita

I'm impressed by the variety of birds at your feeder. You must serve delicious meals. :)

I cater to a lot of different tastes... I give them cooked pasta twirls with a little grated cheese stirred in (for the fat content), cat food in jelly chopped up, meal worms, suet (with berries), no mess bird seed, sunflower kernes, a couple of slices of bread (all on bird table), in the feeders I give peanuts, fat balls and niger seed), on the ground some bread, an apple cut in half, sunflower kernels and a little bird seed... we have a wide range of birds who visit regularly, at the moment we have 7 robins, black birds, thrushes, magpies, pigeons, redpoll, siskin, tree and house sparrows, chaffinch, blue tits, great tits, coal tits, long tailed tits, wrens, black cap, hooded crows, gulls and the odd less frequent visitor like the sparrowhawk. We can watch them eating from the kitchen window which is nice. I love my wild birds and buy the peanuts, niger seed and seed mix by the sack...

Nice shots- good thing those birds have your feeder! It looks like it would be hard to find some food with all of that snow covering everything up.
